Would somebody at Fox or in Alaska or in the Palin family please inform the full time mayor, half time Governor, part time writer, no time interviewer Sarah Palin that there is only one u and no y in the word nuclear. Somebody please tell her that it is not nuke-you-lear or nuke-ya-lear. It is like she knows somebody on a lear jet and wants to nuke them. Maybe she wants to nuke king Lear, I do not know, but until she learns how to pronounce the word she should really lay off the criticism of the Presidents policies.
What experience does she have in this matter to be critical of anybody else anyway? Last I checked neither Wasilla nor Alaska was a nuclear power. Now it may be possible that Fox news could be a nuclear power and maybe she has learned something in her time there. I would really like it if she would just not speak of things she knows no more about than I do.
All I can say is that if the President continues on his path and the Republicans nominate her in 2012 I guess I will have to vote for myself again.
Of course Sara Palin has probably not done any interviews for this show on Fox. That would not really be American. How can she possibly be paid the large salary that she is and be expected to actually have to work for it? That would not be a real American story. I do not understand the infatuation that some people have with this woman. The best I can do is “hopey” that someone can “changey” things and get her back to Alaska and out of the infatuation spotlight asap.
OK so now we have passed some sort of reform for health care, now what? Now we try to repeal it or make sure that it somehow does not work. What else would one expect from this great nations political machine. After all that is all any of this is about anyway is politics. This entire fiasco has not been about the American people. It has been about political wins, losses, and legacies.
What else would one expect in our great nation where politics has become a major industry. For as long as I can remember it has never been about what is good for the people of the country but what is good for the people in office. I am still not ready to give up on our great Country, nor will I join the ranks of idiots calling for violent acts in the name of protecting their version of it.
What I will do is to keep living my life in this Country that I was born into and to hope that I can continue to be employed and be blessed with at least decent health. As I am not wealthy I do not feel my health care will improve any with the passage of this bill, nor do I feel it will really get any worse. Oh well life will go on for me and hopefully for you as well.
OK, should Harry Reid resign? I think that if both sides want to play fair and judge comments made as opposed to who made them, then yes he should be forced to resign. Will this happen? Yeah right! Oh well it was a nice thought while it lasted.
I see this as the usual double standard politics we have in this Country. Yes this goes both ways as well it is not only a democrat thing the republicans do the same stuff. This is just the way politics works and one of the many reasons I see a need for change in our system.
I like this idea of a third party. I have always liked this and though we need more than two major views in our system. I like that we may get a third party soon from the looks of things happening in our system now. I do not like to think of Sarah Palin leading this party though. That however is another story.
Well everybody is talking about lists from the past year and decade so I will tell you a few things that annoyed me in the past decade. There is no order to these things they are just all annoying things to me.
- Bailing out banks and companies that should have been left to either survive or die. After all that is capitalism is it not. Along with this is hearing people try to explain why some of this needed to be done. There is no explanation for this at all, just should not have been done.
- Being attacked by terrorists. This was probably about the most annoying thing that happened this decade for me. I know I said there is no order to this and that stands, it is just that this really did annoy me. I was living overseas when this happened and had to travel back stateside a few months later. That trip was extremely annoying.
I think I must look like a terrorist as I was checked, extra checked and double checked at every point of this journey. Let me tell you going through this with a near one year old that just learned to walk and run is real annoying. For some reason the security had no interest in the security of my child but seemed to enjoy telling me I could not go after her myself that I must stand still while my child runs off and out of sight. They knew it was only her and I.
- Invading foreign countries. While there seems to be some strong arguments as to why we should have gone into Afghanistan I still see no reason we should ever have entered Iraq. Needless to say we are still in both countries with no exit in sight.
- Not being elected President in 2000. To think I could have served my time and been retired with a pension by now.
- Any moment in time I ever had the misfortune of hearing the voice of either Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh. These two guys are some of the most annoying people I have ever heard.
- Any moment in time I ever had the misfortune of hearing the voice of Nancy Pelosi or Barney Frank. These guys are like the anti Hannity and anti Limbaugh and just as annoying.
OK that is not all that annoyed me, but I do not have time to write more at the moment. Maybe I will add to this later as there really was so much more that was annoying in the past ten years. Hopefully things will get better and less annoying in the next ten, but I am not sure.
Happy New Year and decade to all!
After hearing Shawn Hannity last night discussing his very one sided view of the Presidents address about troops to Afghanistan, my conclusion is that he is delusional. Yes I know his name is not spelled Shawn, but I will only give him the same respect he gives to those he does not like, none. I really do believe him to be delusional and that is all I have to say about this. Just my opinion and who really cares about that anyway?
While listening to the O’Reilly Factor the other night Mr O’Reilly was speaking with Karl Rove. I cannot remember the exact topic of discussion but a question was asked of Mr Rove as to why he thinks that President Obama would continue to push for things that may seem to be unpopular with many in our Country. A comparison was made to President Bush pushing and continuing in the war with Iraq and why did he do so even when it was not popular.
Mr Rove said that President Bush did what he believed was right for our Country, but yet seemed unsure why President Obama would do what he is doing. Has it not occurred to Mr Rove that just maybe President Obama is doing what he believes is right for our Country as well. While I understand that Mr Rove probably does not agree with what is happening, I would hope that he could understand the reasons as to why.
Just a few quick thoughts on the economy. Is it better than it was a short while ago? Yes I think it is. Is it going to start booming soon with lots of new jobs? No I do not think it will. Is the good that is happening all to be credited to the Stimulus? No I do not think so. Is all that is bad to be blamed on our former President? No I do not think so. Can it all be blamed on our current President? No I do not think so.
I wish I had spent a little more time listening to my teacher in 1981 when I was taking an economics class. If I had, I might have a better understanding now of some of this crazy stuff all of the large headed people are spouting about. I do have a little understanding though as I have lived and worked in our economy for the past three decades.
Our economy in my opinion is on the path that our leaders and corporations have put it on over the past several decades. In my life I have seen our economy stumble and prosper. It just seems to be the way it is. My personal thoughts are that until we can create jobs that pay well in our own Country, it will just continue as it has. It will go up, it will go down. If we do not stop the loss of good paying jobs in this country it will sooner or later go down until it is gone.
I would like to thank all of the folks at Fox News for making sure that my child did not have the chance to hear the President address her class at school today. Thank you for spreading enough fear that they decided to just not broadcast the speech at her school. Thank you for taking the stand to be sure that you and the school decide what my child should be exposed to and leaving me out of the process.
While I understand the folks at Fox did not make this decision I am sure that the broadcasting of the indoctrination of the children played a large part in the decision made by the school. I listened to many stories on this issue on Fox and it seems to me that on this issue it was a we reported what we decided deal.
I also heard the reports this morning that after reading the transcript of the speech that many at Fox thought this speech was good and had no problem with it. I find it unfortunate that this was too little too late as many schools had already made a decision based on what was broadcast last week.
Thank you for preventing my child from hearing an inspirational speech from the President of our Country. No matter what your thoughts are on his issues or Politics, he is the President and was elected by the people of our Country. While I did not like many decisions made by our former President, and do not like many made thus far by our current President, I respect the office.
I think we as a people have lost the respect we need to have for the President in recent years. I listened to many put down our former President, and hear many put down our current President and it is a shame.
Sorry I am not an eloquent writer, but I am just the guy that owns this domain and thinks that Politics in and of itself is just a big fraud.
I will try to keep this short and to the point. Why should I care about the big three. I am very much aware of the fact that if they fail it affects many other businesses as well. I think that most Americans realize this. We are not all stupid and blind to reality. Yes at times it can seem that way and many do live in a dream world but not everybody. Anyway if the auto giants of the U.S. fail this will leave the door open for others to step up and take their place. I strongly believe this is just what will happen as well.
I have heard all the reasons for why we should not let these guys go down, and I really just don\’t care. I could give you a list of reasons to not let me go down, but I am going down and nobody is going to help me. I will deal with it no matter how it comes out. This collapse is not something that has just come along recently. It has been building for years. I hear people blaming this on fuel prices, this is crap also. They say the big three have built what the people demanded. What a crock. People have blamed congress for not regulating what they build. More crap. It is the fault of the leadership and direction these companies have gone. It is corporate greed. Yes the big three have a few cars that are somewhat fuel efficient as they should have. Other car makers have had these for years though and have taken a strong hold on this market.
If I look back to when companies like honda first started making big hits in the U.S. it was because they put out cars the people needed. Cars that got good mileage and were affordable and dependable. The big three shot back with putting out garbage to compete with them. The big three has much improved its product in my opinon but it has been too little too late. Oh well I guess we will have to see what happens. I do wish the best to the big three but believe if they continue as they have they are destined for failure.
